I got this pic at 7:30 this morning. This thing/things (?) are becoming more regular on camera here. It looks like it has something in its mouth so I requested HD video of it.

I guess the deer don’t mind. These two showed up at 8:30 and stayed at the mineral site for a half hour.

I need to go over and collect my climbers for my trip tomorrow but I’ll give it some time and try not to bust them out.

Josh sent me another daywalker pic from the stand I hunted last time. The thumbnail isn’t the greatest quality, but he’s a sure enough shooter for me. They’re moving pretty regular again.

With a little luck I may be able to join Mitch on the other side of the contest contribution line this trip.

And it’s back. I may have to shoot a coyote or two even if my wife objects to the idea.

So I’m torn right now, I really like euro mounts but I also want to do something with the doe I shot. Soo do I do both euros or do I pull the trigger and just mount both the buck and doe. I think they would look great on some sort of pedestal side by side.

If money is not an option I would go with the 2 mounts side by side like you mentioned. That will be the icing on the cake with the story that goes with them. It’s not my money though. Tough decisions us hunters have to make. I’m sure you will be happy with whatever direction you go.

So after last weekend’s debacle hopefully I got all the bad luck out of my season. Got the release back to where I want it and put some loctite on the screw that moved. I’ll let a couple arrows go at the target tomorrow and hope to get out Friday morning. We are supposed to have a front pass through Thursday night with a 20 degree drop into Friday morning.

I agree with what was said, I mean if money and location for the double mount pedestal style is there do it. However, you could always have the taxi send both hides, Euro mount the buck now, full mount the doe and build a pedestal mount with the doe and euro somehow still incorporated together...then if or when money allows pull full mount trigger on the buck.

Opening day of archery season here found me officiating a wedding on the most beautiful family farm I have ever been on in our county. I looked over my shoulder right after the ceremony and saw a field in the valley full of deer. It was an amazing evening for sure. I spent the last two evenings building a new waterfowl blind on our pond. Goose season opens this Saturday morning and there are a few around. My plots are starting to green up and starting to attract some deer so I hope to get a doe down early and see what happens with mature buck movement.

    That is beautiful scenery Fletch.

I’m surprised to find out that I know so little about you. I had no idea you could officiate a wedding.

I may have little man go to the daycare Friday, usually Dudes Day just the two of us (work longer four day work days to do them), and try and go kill something. Will keep everyone posted, cold front coming through area tomorrow so would be that first post front morning should have movement.

I'm back from the super awesome motorcycle trip, drank plenty of beer, rode plenty of miles, and saw plenty of things.
I'm trying to catch up on some business stuff, some family stuff, and.....hunting stuff. Plan is to get out Friday, that's the earliest I can get out there.
My apologies for disappearing, I'm just slammed with catch-up work at the moment.

By the powers vested in me. :ninja:

I can also do slight of hand magic and juggle. This particular bride was not interested in any of that during the ceremony.

Maybe we should all share something about ourselves that is likely unkown......
