Congrats again Team 12 and to @LittleChief for sealing the win. For those of you who don't know, I live 45 minutes from the WMA where LC killed that buck. I hunted there with him the weekend before. If I hadn't already committed to taking my boys to a kids fishing derby that Saturday morning, I was going to offer to come out and help track.

I know that you would have done it and been glad to do it, but we had it under control. I do appreciate it though.

Nah. Now, I'd feel like you owed me a little something if you'd killed that big buck you saw in that group.

I took my wife out ice fishing for her first time ever on Saturday. We went and fished our new pond and had a great time. We caught and released over 20 rainbow trout and she actually caught one of each species that we stocked this Fall; hybrid bluegill, bluegill, redear sunfish, perch, and largemouth bass, in addition to the trout. I was amazed at how quickly she picked it up, including using the electronics. It did not hurt that we set up two shacks hooked together with heaters and full bar with snacks and invited our neighbor friends to join.

I told my team 100 times that you don't have to kill big deer to win the contest, you just have to kill. Team 12 proved I was right as always! :poke: All seriousness congrats on the win! :hail: I just can't do it without taking a little stab at y'all in the process. :tu: My handle won't allow it.

I’ve won the contest twice (well three times now I guess) and I don’t think either of my teams had any over 150. Most of the time the victor doesn’t have big bucks but plenty of them. I mean when my 126 was our biggest that says something

It’s a little on the small side but I like it. Can’t wait to see it in person when I get back to Arkansas.

Went for a little walk today. So 42 deer and only two small bucks. This little girl let me take a picture she was posing for me

Oldcarp That looks like bow range!
I'm guessing mule deer? Do they shed antlers later than whitetails?

She was only about 20-25 yards. About the middle of February through March is when their antlers drop. I was trying to find the elk.

Nice when you can get that close to them on the ground.

Seems mule deer rut is later than white tails, always wondered if they shed later too.
