You know, I don't pay much attention to acorns etc, but I think the last crappy season I remember this forum having was a year with a big acorn drop, like two years ago(?). Perhaps there's something to that, this season was definitely slower than most I can remember. I still saw deer, but it seemed like it was less than usual.

I will say, I think the most fun I had this year was the trip up to your place, it's a lot of fun being around other people and just getting to hunt for a few days.

Steve a bumper acorn crop hurts hunting on my farm. Oak trees are really scattered in my woods, hard to catch them at the right ones.
Lots of acorns they don't hit crop fields or food plots in daylight as much either.

Good luck to the team still hunting! I have faith a few more deer will be going down.

I want to put another freezer filler down, and most likely will - may be with a gun on one of my reduction properties at some point but something is going to drop.

    Sounds good Ty.

I’m taking this whole week off. I believe I’ve hunted harder this year trying to put a buck on the scorecard than I ever have and the break feels good right now.

Im not finished yet though. Not even close.

Attaching scribbled scorecard now once I find the original scorecard post of mine.

    126 1/8 right around where I figured

It took me a while to find it myself.

    It's been entered.

Now we just need Fletch, Ash and Brett along with myself to put up some more points. The two bucks that team six has out there in ghost land would put them ahead of us, and even if they don't come back and post them we aren't anywhere near safe.

I haven’t been out in a while. I meant to go the other morning but never made. I’ve been working a lot of extra hours lately. Our season is closed for a couple days but opens back up Monday. I will be back out Monday morning guaranteed.

Hey guys, you know that team 6 has two guys who ghosted without posting their bucks on the scorecard. They haven't logged back in since they posted pics of their bucks on their team thread.

A month or so ago they bumped me up from Moderator to Admin. I was looking through the Team Six thread today and it suddenly occurred to me that I have access to everyone's email address they used to sign up, which means I had the ability to send the two guys an email.

I pondered it for about a minute before I figured out that the right thing to do was to send these two guys an email letting them know they needed to enter their bucks, so that's what I did.

I'd like for us to win as much if not more than any of you, especially since it would be a repeat for the team, but I don't want to win knowing that I had the ability to at least try to help contact their missing members and didn't do it.

I know. The most puzzling part, at least for me, is that one has been a member since 2009 and the other since 2011. I think they know how things work around here.

I can't help wondering if they didn't get the required pics and instead of owning up to the error they just decided to vanish instead. That would be a believable scenario for one, but not for two "older" members on the same team.

Anyway, at least if we win now I know that I did all that I could.

I just hope they are doing well health wise. The last thing someones wife would be worried about is letting the bowhunting forum know that her husband is in the hospital with covid or whatever else. Lets hope it IS just a fudged up pic scenario, but hell i fudged up my doe pics and owned up to it. Sheesh.
