Brandt Snedeker... WOW what a round he has going today! The guy looks flawless and rolling everything in. Ole Tiger got off to a decent start. Hes going to have to change his formula for playing majors IMO. I don't think he'll have the luxury of hanging back untill late saturday/sunday to make his run. They are throwing darts at this place. Personally I don't like Open Championships playing soft and slow with no wind (especially links golf). Looks like another ordinary tour event right now. This major has a history of being nasty weather and conditions to deal with. Pretty lame conditions first two days.

I am rooting for our local boy Zach Johnson. He's coming off a win last weekend at the John Deere Classic and playing pretty well. I would guess that Tiger will find some way to put himself in the running on Sunday. Thoughts?

Also, NY, did you get any much needed rain? Hoping so for you and everyone else that depends on it for a living.

Not only has Snedeker played well..... he has played 36 holes at The Open without a single boggie. That's amazing. Looks like he and Scott are going to be way out front.

Unfortunately ... no. The last two "rain events" missed us. Were supposed to get some this morning, but slid south of us. Didn't get enough to knock the dust down. It's beyond desperation. I'm pumping my last pond down to my irrigation pond tommorow. After that it's over for me. No other alternative for water. The creek that feeds my pond that I water out of is bone dry. Has weeds growing in it. Not good.

Tiger? Yeah he usually does find a way to put himself lurking around. I just don't think his formula for a major will work this time. Too many low numbers to be had and too many good golfers that arent' afraid anymore. I think he needs to start stepping on the gas on thursday and friday more these days. If Snedeker or Scott go out and shoot 67 or so tommorow, it's a tough mountain to climb for Tiger on Sunday unless he goes crazy low tommorow. Seems like he just wants to not shoot himself out of it the first two days and put all his eggs in the basket on the weekend. That's fine and has worked in the past. But if guys are going out there and flirting with 62's and 64's you may want to rethink your gameplan before it's too late. But.... I also haven't won 14 majors lol.

I feel like if the winds pick up or the conditions get worse Tiger is more likely to pull it out. If it stays the same and the greens are like dart boards Scott and Snedeker are in a great position for one of them to close it out.

One of the two will fall apart, maybe both.

Outside of KY basketball I've never been cheering for one person more in a sporting event than Tiger this weekend. What a way to end the 18th today!

I hope the weather picks up and gets nasty so it's more like a british open though, regardless who that benefits as a golfer
