There is nothing itches more than freakin chiggers! In a day or so, when they swell up and look like little pimples.....scratch 'em open and dump alcohol on 'em. Burns like hell, but they're done! God I hate chiggers!!

They are not only in OK, I got a few of em last week when I was at my property. Sounds like you got a good batch of em. Not much you can do once you have em.

    However I don't reccomend mobows cure.

It may stop the itching, but the chiggers are long gone by the time it festers up and turns red like a pimple and itches like crazy.

Don't touch em for 15 minutes and they will stop itching so bad, the more you scratch, the worse it gets.

I'm with ya brutha, I'm battling a few today as well. Bad thing is, it's only going to get worse as it gets hotter.

Man I went fishing last year and must have sat down on a chigger nest. I had literally hundreds of bites on my rear end, waist, and legs. The welts were double the size of a mosquito bite and red as heck. I itched terribly for a week. I learned a trick to take away the itching...I put get this....jock itch/female itch cream on those dang things because I could not sleep at night! It really helped.

Wisconsin has: deer flies, horse flies, gnats, mosquitos, no see ums, wood ticks, deer ticks, and thankfully NO chiggers. At least I've never had any. I have seen a huge increase in deer ticks lately. years ago I never saw a deer tick. Now it seems like they are half the ticks I find on me. Did I mention I love hunting in the cold weather? :)

This may sound silly but try Preparation H. It works on swelling and itching. I have also used ammonia, it is the main ingredient in those "After Bite" sticks.

Find some sulpher, just crush it up in old sock and pat yourself down around ankles, boots, bends at knees, belt line...anywhere something binds or sweats before you go out. When you get home rinse off then wipe down with cheap laundry bleach and then shower off agin. I fell alseep last year hunting in Texas Hill country and woke up with the little tropical trotters playing tennis with my jewels!:bash: Chiggers are the reason I wait to hunt on family place in south central Oklahoma till cold weather comes in!
