Without a doubt. Heck, I get scared just switching from my lifeline to the tree strap. My stand moving at all would freak me out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
windicator or equivalent playing the wind was the first skill that was passed down to me, and "seeing" the wind gives me the utmost confidence during the hunt
I don't forget things. I've only made one mistake in my life, and that was buying an eraser for my pencil...
I am a ladder stand hunter, no need for a harness. I will never, ever go up in a tree with a climber or platform.
every year here in GA we get at least one guy who falls out of a ladder stand head first....it's not pretty....
I must be a freak of nature, don't own a range finder never have.. and have shot tons of 3d without one.. I can est a deers dist by a yard or two every time out to 100 yds after that it's a tad sketchy... Several of my hunting buddies have tried to test me with their range finders... That is not to say they are not an important tool for most bow hunters...
Same here, I own one but never comes out of my pack when hunting. I can guess yardage pretty accurately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How is this possible? The ladders I have are all big wide platforms not the cheap tiny ones. It is called situational awareness.
Well that is one thing I will never do up in a tree, and yes I can say never. Sitting on a stand is painful for me I can last about 3 hours before the pain is unbearable, so sleep is not an option.
My cell phone...I want to be able to call someone when I fall out of my treestand and break my legs because I wasn't wearing my safety harness.
After re-reading everyone else's posts I'd change mine from range finder to safety harness. It's a must in a treestand.
