Good luck to you fellas still going after your buck. I'll be out again after rifle season to fill my last tag.

Well, Shotgun was a bust so now I have NO choice but to get TWO bucks with my bow. The deer are still moving at night by what my trail camera is showing. I will be getting back out this weekend so I hope to knock one down soon. I am not allowed to shotgun hunt my bow spot due to others that do. I have not been in there due to wanting to let it lay down all week. I have to put my cams back up and will do that when I go into hunt this weekend. I took my cams to my shotgun spot to put up while hunting and got some good videos. Here is the thread I put up with the one from a creek bottom 10 yards from my stand.

This has been the worst year yet. I went out this morning to only get soaked all the way to my undies! :( No deer. I will be back at it tomorrow again. I will not stop untill season has ended so I will get one just a matter of time I hope.

After seeing that deer with a drop I drove by this spot again tonight with my 10 year old daughter who wanted to look for bucks and look what we found in the same spot! I think I need to get permission to hunt this spot!

I would say I was 60 yards away and have a Sony Alpha a350K with a 75-300 mm lens. I wish I had a bigger one but one day I will. I will be out in the morning but I am a little worried now. I saw a buck tonight with only one side on his head. I think some are shedding already. Last year I found a shed when I shot my big buck Dec. 9th.

Well, I went out this morning and had a 120ish 8 point come into about 50 yards. I waited to draw back when he went behind some shrub trees but the bugger caught me drawing back. He stood there for about a minute then wheeled around and gone. I then had a doe come into about 100 and then she went the other way. Hope tomorrow brings me better luck!

Well team, with only 17 more days in the season my possibilities of getting a buck is really slim. I have my doubts and not sure if I will be able to get it done. I hope to but we will see.

    +50 pts

Hey guys, haven't been around here much lately. Well yesterday was the last day i was able to deer hunt for the season so i was going to harvest any deer that i could to fill the freezer. I was able to get a young spike with a broken right tine and the left one was about 10inches long (pictures on the score card page). It is no trophy but i was meet hunting when i entered the woods. I had passed a lot of does and young bucks all season just waiting for one of the shooters that i had tracked all summer to appear, and nothing. I never even saw one of the big guys this hunting season. I need to become more mobile next year and find where those mature deer are hiding during hunting season. Sorry i wasn't able to put up big points for the team. Have a safe and happy 2012.
