Hey guys... I shot a buck last night. Old, old monarch on his way down most likely, based on 16 years of experience hunting this area and studying the genetics. 5 1/2" bases but has squat for main beam length or tine length. Won't score for crap, but I'm proud of him... gnarly, massive bases with junk everywhere around the pedicles.

I'll get pics and a story of him up later.

Sorry I haven't been on much, but I figured... Hey, what would my teammates rather me be doing? Playing behind a computer screen or out hunting my arse off? :)

Wow Greg, pretty impressive. You can tell that he's got some years on him. Congrats on an awesome deer. It dont matter what he scores. I am sure he has caused many hunter's hearst to skip a beat, and your arrow is the one that stopped his. Job well done.

I've been seeing some good bucks as well. Hoping it won't be to long before I can post some bone.

Congrats on the bucks teammates, our team is really starting to get up there in the points standings. Hopefully I can lay a big guy on the ground in the next couple weeks to help our cause.

Good job everyone!! I haven't posted since my trip to the mountains. I just saw a handful of does and young bucks and 6 bears. Overall, it was a good trip even though i didn't kill anything. Back at my hunting property i keep seeing does and young bucks but nothing worth shooting. I decided to do some in season scouting and found a small trail (had to crawl at points) along the edge of a swamp and cattails. I jumped a buck but didn't see his rack, he sounded like a bulldozer going through the cattails. Anyway, i found a new stand site off of this trail and his bed nearby. Im gonna wait until after gun season to get in there and hang a stand b/c i don't like being in the woods with gun hunters.

I just checked the score update and we are in 2nd place! Keep it up! We could win this thing! Congrats to all who have put up points and good luck to all of us for a great season! I just need my buck so I am ready. I have passed on a couple little fellas but know I have at least 6 shooters in my book that all score over 130. The buck that I have named Mr. Double B is my number one target and then have a 11 and 10 pointer that are well outside the ears but not very old. I will still take them because that is the big size in my area due to to many hunters. I have a really nice wide 9 and a young 9 with a few 8 pointers in the area.

    Dawg,

When you say, "We could win this thing!", it demonstrates a slight lack of confidence. Those of us on Team 6 say, "We are going to win this thing!" The very last thing we'll do is give up the red jersey-we refuse to conduct our business by using wishful thinking. I guess it's sort of like saying, "I could stick an arrow in that buck" verses actually doing it.

I hate to bust your chops , but if you want to be on top, you'll need to change the way you think. Do it! Let victory roll from your breath!

Greg, how far are you from Fayette, Missouri? I will be there in a few weeks...

    Good hunting guys!

Looks to me like team 6 is scared of us. They keep checking in on us. I know we are giong to win it. We are only one good buck away, and we still have some good hunters out there. I have passed a couple ok bucks for the big guy that I know is coming along. I will put some bone down before the end of the competition. Lets make it happen.

And for all of team 6 who checks in on us, theres no lack of confidence, but rather an abundance of humility.

Looks like it's above Columbia a bit? I'm about an hour and a half below St. Louis right on the Mississippi River on the East side of the state... BUT, my sales territory is all of Southern Missouri below I-70 (which connects KC to St. Louis).

Give me a shout and I may have to conveniently work some accounts up that direction when you're there. ;)

Actually, it's easy to be humble when your team is in third place. Review the details, Team 1 has you boys. Dubs hasn't entered either his buck or doe (see the "Bowhunt or die" videos). He has been away from his computer while guiding in Wyoming. His buck and doe, combined, will easily score two hundred points.

Scared? Hardly! We pop in from time to time to encourage more production. Where's the fun if we lack substantive competition? Taking candy from babies. well, that's not a Team 6 thing.

Dawg, congrats on your deer! Kill that darn buck, will ya!

Greg, PM me your #. I will call when I get there. You fly and dinner is on me.

Dont matter what dubs has or hasnt entered. Fact is were in it and thats a suprise to some. Go ahead and count us out. Thats alright. Its a long way from over. Team 6 and 1 need to keep puttin em down. Cause were not taking the foot off the gas.
