I'm headed out myself this weekend to NY's northern Adirondack zone. I can't wait. Chances are pretty low I'll score up there, deer populations are very low (less than 5 DPSM) but I'm looking forward to just climbing a tree and watching a sunrise/sunset. I have another 18 days till my southern zone season starts where I'll do the bulk of my bowhunting this year. I can't wait!

I am going out this weekend as well. Opening day for us here in Illinois is Saturday. I will be out in the morning and then my buddy is getting married in the afternoon. I will hunt both morn and afternoon on sunday. You can tell my buddy is not a hunter. HE HE HE He should be slapped for planning it on that day. LOL

Is it October yet? I have the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd off. No plans other than hunting. My wife has been informed that I will be doing nothing else so dont even ask. May be sleeping in my stand comea the 4th, but well worth 3 uninterrupted days of hunting.

Nice buck Bow! I went out this morning to see 11 deer cross river right where my other stand is at that I was NOT sitting in. I guess tomorrow morning I will be sitting in that stand! Other than that I had a Great Horned Owl land about 20 yards from me and scared the crap out of me.

I shot a big doe early this afternoon... haven't taken pics of her yet; I'll try to get those up tomorrow for the scorecard.

Here ya go... my first-ever "truck-bed pic"... Got in late last night, and just didn't feel like dragging her out of the truck to prop her up and put back on my camo before going to church this morning... plus, it was a bit of an ordeal trying to arrange to put her in a locker this morning.

    Awesome Greg. Congrats man.

I dont have any pics to show, but I had a nice buck show up sunday morning. I would guess him in the 130 range, which for here is pretty good. He never got within 60 yards. Sat and watched him make a scrape. I'll be sitting in a little better area come the weekend. Hope to show him off soon.

Wouldn't let me open the link on the avatar.

I'd say that buck would make high 130's, low 140s...

I haven't got to hunt but a couple times since I took my doe, and those were the imediate two days following that. The very next night, I had a low 130's but REAL wide 8 with a kicker come out in the cut corn field in front of me and hang out eating for over an hour... stayed around 75 yards away for all that time.

I left last Monday to head up to northern Missouri to work a trade show for one of my sponsors (S4Gear), and just rolled back into town right before dark. My oldest boy's got two football games tomorrow (one morning and one evening), so tomorrow's shot -- but I'll be back in the stand Sunday evening and every other evening pretty much next week save Wednesday.

    Good luck guys.

I went out this morning and saw two deer one buck that I could hardly see due to being to dark and then this little fella at 5 yards!
