#1 Congrats on the buck! #2 I personally don't know Jeff, but I don't need to. So to whom ever instigated this incident with Jeff and provided his personal information to others I want to say that if you are going to pull this kind of garbage with him or anyone else on the forum then you also have a problem with me. Think I'm kidding? Bring it on!! Just PM me and we will take it from there. Distance is nothing a few tanks of gas can't take care of. I want to mention here that I am normally a very laid back person, but when you rub me the wrong way (& you just did) then watch out. Your just lucky you can hide behind the anonymity of the internet. Care to change that?
Guys I am sorry I missed so much. Things have been a little strange lately. I don't even know what happened but it seems like november is a wierd one for a few of us. Between my life changing drastically right before halloween, missing most of my deer season, finding a new place and moving, walking in on a robbery in progress in my mom's house last friday, and now hearing this? Wow... I am very confused right now about your whole situation, but I hope everything is ok Jeff and congrats on a fine buck. Hope everyone had a good turkey day. You all take care.
You know how to kill one with style that is for sure. Don't take this the wrong way, buy you seem to be a better "killer" of deer with your Trad equipment. I have notice all your shots have been in the "zone". Congrats !!!
Now that we have a team thread again, Capt Tony. PA rifle season starts Monday. I (Ben and I) hung a new stand in the bedding area that I have confidence in. I don't start work this week until 9:30 so I'll be out each morning with my bow. I also have off Friday and next week. Friday I'm headed to twilds. His deer don't see rifle pressure so we'll see. Next week I'll be in my home lands again. I'm not out yet but it's going to be rough from here. Good luck to those still hunting.
Tony, you know your invited back. Now as far as your gun, not likely in my honey hole but I have spots here at the house you can certainly gun hunt. This time of year however, it's nothing but a simple guess. I hung a stand for me that I'm confident in, the others, not so much. Percents just went way, way down. I'd hate to see you make a trip for nothing. First season, yeah, now....no idea.
ALL kidding aside, I would bring my bow out whenever I come to your place ... I have no desire to gun hunt when my partner was bowhunting ..... and I still have to December 22nd to hunt deer in NY ...lots of tags to fill I do appreciate the open door, Rob
Congrats on your buck Jeff !! Goodluck with your hunting Rob !! Hopefully the rifle hunters push something your way. The bucks are still rutting a bit here as the main rut winds down so hopefully the same thing is going on in your area. I am seeing a lot of bucks in the mornings and a few during the pm hunts. I've been sitting until 10 - 11 in the mornings with the best action from 8.30 - 9:30 with one morning until 10. It gets light here at 7:30. At night they start moving right before sun down. Not sure if it means anything for you in your area since you deer will be under pressure now where my deer just came off it a week ago. Anyways good luck again!! Tim
Thanks for the info Tim. I hope that's the case here too. I'm hoping they are still rutting. Thing is, the corn is still standing as of this morning. I doubt they get to it today so unless they cut it this week. I hung a stand inside the woodlot where many bed and others come and go. This buck I video several years ago first day would be in range when he goes back in. Opening Day Rifle, Big 8, 06.
