    The GNR was awesome thread.

No idea how anyone alive in the late 80's through the mid 90's doesn't like Guns NFN Roses.

I mean just think back to the garbage on the radio prior to GNR... They changed the course of rock history. They did what no one else could, kill the BS rock and hair bands from the 80's.

I will start it off with this gem...

So what were you listening to in the late 80's early 90's? Poison, Winger, Nelson and Mr. Big?

All solid and I like all that you posted... But Metallica "One" was the only 80's song in that list.

No doubt Slash is great. Too bad he got mixed up with GNR. LOL

Not many people like this cover (including Slash(, but it's my favorite version of the song:

GNR was an awesome band. The use your illusion albums were just as good as appetite for destruction. I moved a LOT of iron back in the day listening to GNR & old school Metallica

My first cassette tape was Appetite for Destruction. Being seven or eight years old, I'm not sure if that was a good thing or not.

GnR made some great tunes in the late 80's and early to mid 90's, but Axl has made himself into a joke these days.

To each his own. I preferred Ozzy, Pantera, and early Metallica.
