I was finally able to get back out to the woods today and had a real good day. I found 4 sheds "1 matched set". :D Great finds so far guys. I think I only got 2 more weekends of shed hunting left.:(

Way to go Mech! I found another one and downloading pics now. I am tired of finding left sides and small ones. I need a large one to lift my spirit but I think my time is running out fast!

Once again I might point out another left side antler! Let alone another small one! 11 out of my 14 sheds this year are left sides! Where oh Where can the right sides be? Very odd!

Good luck bro! Hope you bring some home. I know my days are numbered now. If I get lucky enough to get out and find one thursday would be great. The green color is coming in fast and the squirrels are finding them fast now too. It is a race and that is the race that I would like to knock out of the way but that would mean squirrel season would have to come back in. LOL

Well im going to leave this one to team discretion weather its considered a shed or not. In my eyes it is but>>>>> I dont even know what made me pick this up  It looked like a decayed stick sticking out of the leaves. All I could see was the white part sticking up as the main beam tip and the one point were covered in leaves. I looked at it and for some reason just leaned down and picked it up and was shocked it was antler  I think it is a very very old shed that had the burr missing from rodents. It just looks to small to be broked from a violent fight at one time. personally Im calling it # 12 for the season for me. what say ye team? shed or broken?
Didnt have camera with me so here is at home

I say it counts! Last year I found a fresh remaining piece that the squirrels totally destroyed but you can tell it was an antler. It was the end of the main beam with a nub that would not even count as a full point due to not being big enough. That contest said it was a shed so it counted. I will count it! Piece is better than nothing at all! Way to go!

Well, my little angel Kenna, 8 years old, was pestering me on taking her shed hunting so tonight I took her out tonight and we found a chewed up 4 point on a log. The dang squirrels must of drug it up on the log to chew on it. I was shocked to see it there. Then my father had surgery on his ankle for a torn tendon so I went over to walk thier dog. I ended up finding a shed from a long time ago. It has a few plow disk marks on it so it has been run over by a farmer. It was in the field and very cracked and falling apart. I did not get an ATL photo due to not having my camera. Here they are!

She got a little upset because she has never found an antler by herself. She is still learning patients and usually can only walk for about a hour or so. She just started walking at my side with about 15 yards between us so I hope that it is not long that she finds her first one all by herself. I really wished she did that yesterday but it did not happen. I explained to her that there have been times that I have walked for a good 6 to 8 hours and came home empty handed. I told her to keep going with me and you will get your first one sooner or later. She loves the outdoors and I am very thankful for that. It is some of the best time that I have is in the woods with her. It wont be long she will be running with her friends so it might be hard to get her to go but I really hope NOT. I hope she wants to go all the time with me.

Right here buddy!!! No worries....I'll find some yet!!! I'll be heading back to Canada around May 1 at the latest. Once I get there, I'll take at least two full days to shed hunt and then sporatic trips after that until about the end of May.

Trust me....I'll find some when I finally get to go!!!!
