Looks awesome and much more durable, but I just can't pay $85 for 3...I will stick with the original and replace the blades...but they may end up in my quiver who knows? Take a look at em though.
It's not going to be any stronger. The blades will still bend as they did before. They aren't titanium.
$85 for 3? If anyone on here ever hears of or actually witnesses me using those things....please punch me in the face. That is terrible.
And they shoot and kill just the same...good for you Jeff. I saw your broadheads, they were sweet and sharp. Aaron...bring it!
Only if you'll do the same if you here of me making a purchase like that.... 'course you'll have to beat my wife to it. :p
yeh I love Rage heads and will continue to shoot the regular ones as long as they make em, but i will not pay $85 for 3 heads...I will just shoot Slick Tricks if it comes to that.
I got to mess around with them at the ATA. Good head, but like stated above, the aluminum ferule has NEVER been the issue for me, it's the one and done blades (which i dont see as an issue anyway). I'll stick with the originals. I can't even imagine paying $40 for 3, much less $85! I do LOVE that they now offer 125 grn Rages though! I have been using 25 grn screw in weights to bump mine up but this year i'll swap out for the 125 heads and not have to mess with the weights anymore.
I actually had a guy and his friend start talking with me at the game check this year. One of them noticed my doe and talked about the entrance/exit wounds. He said he "used" to have smaller holes like that before he started using a head called...rages. He must not have known that I have heard about and seen them for a long time. I just didn't say much. He then went on to say that he wounded many deer while bowhunting prior to his using the Rages. The the mother of all quotes came out...."Man, they are like throwing an axe through an animal". I just sat there dumbfounded.
You should have said ... "Man...that's catchy! You should call them and see if they'll use that!" You could have then told him you shoot a Parker.....because you're a follower.....and you're quite content with keeping the arch in archery.
I'll pass on the price but it is interesting to see a companies trying new things. Even if these fail miserably, if companies don't push the envelope with new innovations, the same ole same ole stuff is around year after year.
