Just curious if anyone is shooting this bow and if they have had any luck getting it quieted down without overloading it with extras... It's a great shooting bow but the string noise upon release is terrible.

I don't have the DXT, but I do have the Drenalin. I didn't notice excessive string noise, but added a MeanV suppressor, just because I do for all of my bows. I regularly get comments on how quiet my bow is. I'd give that a try.

I've heard lots of people poke fun about me shooting a Mathews, but noise has never been an issue. Is everything secured tight on the bow?

For what they cost, they sure shouldn't be loud. Get it checked out man.

I shot the DXT about a month ago at a tiny shop about an hour away. It was completly bare..no sight, stab, peep, silencers anything...just a whisker biscuit.

The owner had it set up just for people to get a feel of it. I don't remember any noise issue, but it sure was dead in the hand. More than I expected from the little thing. I was pretty impressed honestly.

I'd get it back into the shop. When I was still working in the shop I played with and shot them extensively and it was anything but loud. Something is wrong with it if it's excessively loud. The shop should take care of you.

Shooting last night with a buddy that shoots one and I made the comment on how quiet his bow is. No extras on it either except for a S-Coil. Sweet bow thats for sure!

i'd say check out any extras you have and check all the screws on it. it's amazing how just one loose screw will cause it to make noise.

Thanks for all the feedback... I shot the other day and it may have been something like Diesels issue with the site... I actually have the sme sight and I had been messing with the light etc... Evereything is tight now for sure and things seem to be ok. I had others listen and they seem to think it's pretty good. Thx
