Congrats again. There's just something extra special about taking a deer off your own land. I have been fortunate enough to take 6 bucks off of my 40 acres since 2009. I work hard to manage the land to produce to it's fullest potential and have been extremely blessed with some really nice bucks recently.

Keep up the good work, it's great to see people proving that you can be successful on small tracts of land.

Crazy thing is he was the smallest of the 3 there which I'd shoot....gonna try to get Pops one here or at his woods which is just 9 acres but produces awesome bucks.

We'll keep this land thread rolling with the latest surprise to show up on camera. This buck dwarfs body wise anything we've seen here...Splits was a big deer and he is bigger....Big Dave might be the only deer close or slightly bigger....God just didn't bless him with antler genetics.

This bad boy if he sticks around will be a target buck next year for me due to his size/age...Pops has the full green light on him as well this year if he doesn't shoot something else.

Watch this off season. We found a really good deal on a 3pt, pto, sprayer on craigslist. Definitely out do the 4 wheeler sprayer.

Yeah, gonna keep that as an option...but I like the idea of using lighter weight four wheeler for soil compaction reasons....however won't turn down a great deal. I'm searching craigslist all the time.

Also update from the property...unusually warm temps have got the brassicas starving for more nitrogen it would seem in spots (typically by now they slowing down due to temps) turning yellowish or shriveling at the tips.

The non-bulb varieties of kale mixed in the Winter Greens are getting hammered....as is all the chicory and cereal grains at the property....cannot say enough about what cereal grains have been doing for us this year. Crazy!

I need to start taking pics out there more and sharing here...but of the 50 or so Norways we planted I'd say at least half are entering the winter still going strong....might attempt to fence of some of the best pockets of them here soon as to give them an added protection from rabbits/deer and rodents this winter. In 4 or 5 years this clusters and edges of them will be a great sight blocking....10 years added thermal cover as well.

I've laid it out in some videos...never formulated any official laid out plans but have many things in mind. I may attempt to put my 5 year plan down pictorially for everyone to see though.

Need to keep this post rolling.

Yup. Did some post season scouting and made quite a few videos from that day just haven't got them rendered and put together.

There are a few things I didn't like but not much because we really didn't attempt too terrible much that we did...one big negative though was accessing. The inability to access from southern road made it next to impossible to hunt portions of it. That is going to change and I'm going to share plan of attack with that and our rather aggressive logging plans, which are great but will slow down too much sculpting as I don't want to do too much and than go dragging trees around and big equipment.
