Looking into this bow...i see it shoots pretty hard, new technology...looks pretty sweet....Scott did a blog about it...check it out! Was just wondering if these got released...and what the price on average will be around most proshops... Anyone shoot them yet..? Im thinking about getting one..but would love to shoot one before I did!
I believe there are demo bows are trickling out to shops all over the country. Mine's been on order since the story broke, but I am patient. Good things are worth waiting for and from what I am told this bow is amazing. My shop is supposed to have their demo any day now and even though it's RH, I will make the 40 minute trip to check it out.
I cant wait to shoot one of these bad boys. I hope to be in the market for a new bow in the spring if everything works out, and I am for sure checking one of these out.
wow i just watched a few youtube vids of the bow and yep ill be checking that out forshure...Anybody herd about a price? im shure it will be salty
I'm hoping to get a 340 bloody during the PA late season. :D Once it's here I'll be posting up a detailed review thread, along with the an outline of how I tune it. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these.
After watching a youtube video on the bow, the guy says that he has it setup for 55 pounds and is using the same pin for 20 as he is for 30. would this mean that if you shot it close to that 70lb range that your 20 and 40 yard pins would be so close that you could almost use the same pin? Maybe just adjust your aiming a little high or low?
Realistically, no.........you aren't going to be able to use the same pin out to 40 yards. If you sighted in at around 28-30 yards with that single pin, you could hold low at 20 and high at 40 and make that work, but it's really not practical in my opinion. To be honest, I don't plan on shooting mine that fast. I'll shoot it at about 60-61lbs (mine is going to be a 60lb), and will be pushing a 480ish grain arrow around 280-285fps. Imagine that........85 lb/ft of energy out of a butter smooth 60lb bow with 7" of brace height.
Pat knows bowtech pretty well..said the new ones will run from 800 to 900 dollars...i guess it all depends on where you get it, and whats on it... hopefully no one likes them so i can pick one up nice and cheap
Well me and my bro just got back from JimBows in Calgary, alberta. They just got 5 of the 350s in yesterday. I just bought a diamond marquis so I refused to shoot it, but my brother did and was amazed at the bow. They are retailing for around 950 CAN. I guess they have the first ones in Canada in their shop. That bow is very queit and from what everyone was saying was amazingly smooth for how fast it is.
Actually, Pat said; Giving consumers only MSRP was SOP at every show I did for BowTech over the past 10 years...
I'm doing everything I can to resist buying a new bow. I just bought a "new" Constitution and I need a hunting bow to replace my 101st that I sold. Matt, I'm looking forward to your tuning thread since, many guys on AT weren't aware that for one, this bow SHOULD be pressed with an X-press or EZ-Press. That's one of the downsides to this bow for me. I'm in the market for a new press (my Ultra-Press will not press this), but I don't want to have to buy a press and a $900 bow.
My shop called today, they got their demo in. The archery tech laughed as she heard me pick up the phone and say "this is an evil joke, right?" I knew mine wouldn't be there yet, but she called to let me know theirs was there and to come up and mess with it. Like RJ said, I am hoping to get mine broke in during the late season. I still have my buck tag and one more doe tag left, so there is a fair chance.
Actually, I alerted that crowd early in the first thread that the X-press is the preferred press for this bow. Now... whether anyone there paid any attention to that is another matter entirely.
Ben and I will run up and shoot this one and I'll report back and I'm waiting on my 340 any day now but, Throughout the web we're reading that the Destroyers are very quiet, very smooth, no handshock (near like the CP's) and these bows are FAST. The workmanship in them are second to none as well.
I have a buddy that has not shot anything without the Matthews name on it since I have known him. He shot one and is thinking about getting one. That is sayin' something right there.
How could they amongst all the armchair engineering talk? But you are right, in fact, and I believe it was your post that I read first on the matter.
