It is definitely risky, but generally I run cams from may up to September and pull them then. Not many people in the woods in oklahoma in the summer. Either that, or I go far enough in that most won't. We are lucky enough to have some huge blocks of national forest with relatively low hunter density compared to most public land. Kybowhunter8 Checking in! The name is Travis, I hunt western Ky and our season opens up September 3rd this year, and I couldn't be more pumped. I killed a career buck, for me anyways, last year and we came close to winning the contest. I hope to do the same this year, however, I haven't been able to scout much this year so I don't what kind of potential have with a buck but I can almost guarantee a doe for the team. Live just north of NLR in Cabot. We moved here 7 years ago for work. Up until this year I've mainly hunted in NE Louisiana but with the new lease, I plan to hunt up here more. I'll also be taking my daughter more too, but I'm excited about that.
