I'll be the first one to raise my hand admitting misses. I've reported them as well, not ashamed of them at all. It happens. I don't care how good someone is at shooting targets, live animals are incredible creatures. Hell I missed the largest buck I've ever attempted a shot at at last year in IL. I'll never forget it.

Lost a pile of deer in the beginning too, it's been a lot of years since though. I like the track record since but it's bound to happen.

I have yet to miss a deer with my bow. It is bound to happen sooner or later though, this I understand...

I did however hit and lose my first and only whitetail the 2008 season. Wish I would have missed :(

    Let's just say.. I've missed a few.

And by a few.. I mean like 6.. maybe 7.

Could be a few higher.. maybe 1 lower.. honestly don't recall anymore.

But I've been there and done that.. and laughed about it each time and again.

I once missed a doe while hunting on the ground.. she was no more than 8 yrds. out.. that arrow flew into the next county.. literally. Still laugh about that one.

    Good times.:)

Amen Duke, hell I missed that 04 Rob buck (first contest) 2 times 16 yards and 25 yards before I actually killed it with my 3rd arrow at 41 yards. I still laugh too. :D

For some reason I remember the day exactly :)

I missed a doe at a mere 9 yards from my tree. I simply sent it right over her back.

My last clean miss was 2 years ago when I shot right over the back of a young doe at 15 yards, but I aimed for 20.

However I got lucky she jumped back some way. I grabbed my rangefinder and she was at 37 yards. I then sent my 2nd arrow through both lungs.
