Well, I get to buy tags in both MO and KS so between both states that's a lot of tags.

 

Not mad, just being overly sensitive about his word choice.

 

Well guys, I know I haven't been getting on here much, but I killed a buck tonight. He came in at 3:40 this afternoon during our ridiculous winds today. He was following a doe and ended up stopping right at 30 yards from me. Due to the high winds I was compensating to my right, but right as I was about to release the wind died down for a bit. I ended up hitting the buck a little farther back than I was wanting. I gave it about 15 minutes, got down, and looped way down wind and got out of there. Ate some supper and drank some beers, then came back around 7:30 to look around for blood. Didn't find anything except for one 1/8" speck of blood. I last saw him head towards a brushy drainage ditch type thing, but I never saw him come out (a cedar was blocking my view). Looked through that, no luck. Decided to check a bit farther down before we backed out until morning, ended up finding him at 8:30 about 80 yards farther down the draw. He died in what looked like his bedding area. Luckily we only had to drag him about 30 yards before we could get to him with the Ranger.

Ill post pictures and get him on the scorecard tomorrow after I get some sleep finally. I finished caping him out at 2:30 this morning.
