Thanks guys, I appreciate it. These things happen unfortunately and in this case no one is that sorry because she was in way to much pain to keep going like that.
2 point barometric pressure change this afternoon. Will be going out in half hour. Weather wise and timing it's like a perfect storm. One can hope anyways! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I hunted the monster scrape this morning and didn't see a thing. A couple fawns were crying for mom before sunrise, but that's it. Wednesday afternoon looks good after hurricane Patricia passes.
Thanks. Dad is back home as of last Tuesday and is doing fairly well, thanks for asking. He's still got a lot of problems but it's good to see him back home again.
Only one small buck last night. I have now seen every buck I have on camera on this property, during shooting hours, and at less than 20 yards, except the one I want to shoot!
Season update. So far I have passed on one yearling Doe ( bigger one about 80 yards out) one 6pt and two 8pt. Started to drop the string on the bigger 8, had good width, mass and beam length but it's g3's were only about an inch long. Packing for Kentucky today.
I put in my vacation time for the first week of November. Starting on Halloween, I'll be in a stand 8 of the next 9 days. The weather looks warm and a little wet, but I'll be out there.
Well looks like ill be able to get out tomorrow afternoon on a property I haven't hunted in a very long time.
Good luck! Saw a nice buck this afternoon with a doe. Also heard from a few people They have seen bucks chasing Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Yes, I made it out this evening too and also saw a nice buck chasing a doe. Closest they ever got was about 70 yards. He was a nice big 8 point, a buck I'm familiar with as I let him walk twice last year....he won't get another pass this year if he gets in range.
Here's the buck I saw chasing a doe this evening. Pics don't do him justice, I saw him from several angles in person today and he's a fine deer, better mass than the pics appear....either that or the buck I saw today was a different deer with very similar configuration.
I didn't see squat this afternoon. But, I did find out box turtles are another critter that sound like deer walking up on you...
Oooh great, that's all we need! Something else to make our hearts skip a beat. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
