Sorry I haven't been on guys, been real busy with work. I have finally made out to stand for the first time! Dang it feels good. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Dang Airen, you didn't give that doe a chance . Good shot and congrats...and thanks for the team contribution!
Thanks guys! It feels good to get the monkey off my back. I shot her at 18 yards, out of a natural ground blind, and she ran about 60 before crashing. That WAS a heck of a shot...I even impressed myself with that placement.
Lone fawn, doe and fawn and doe and twins on tonight's sit. Probably won't be out again till next weekend. Going to be cooler but still only lows of 40s. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Maybe I'll get a chance to get out here pretty soon, dad is supposed to get released from the hospital tomorrow so one more 3 hour round trip and hopefully he's good for a while and I can get some time to get in a stand here pretty soon. I guess I should buy my tags here sometime, lol, good thing I can get them online. I have not even started cutting beans yet then I have about 800 acres of wheat to put in....I'm never going to get done.... I finished clearing a new four acre food plot today, still have that to disk and plant too along with two other two acre plots...I'm ready for cloning technology just about any freaking time...and accelerated growth too, I could use about four more of me.
Congrats Airen! Well my season is done.....here is a pic and more to follow hopefully before I leave for SD on Wednesday. 18 yard shot, was going nuts on a tree and jumped as I shot (not the string but just rubbing the tree) bad hit but a got an artery. 11-13 points depending on if the stickers are over an inch (which I think the to smaller ones are) never measured the spread but was wider than the ears thinking 18 outside. Not my biggest and if I had more time I might have passed him up but it all happened really fast and I had to make a decision. Dad took the pics with me in them....he is shaky. With the warm weather needed to go into the butcher and dad is going to drop the head off for a Euro mount so not sure when I will have complete measurements. Doe hunting after the rut.
Job well done Chris, congratulations...that's a hell of a nice buck! Thanks for the team contribution, fantastic job!!!
So I am not going to be able to score him for a week or so.....how is that going to work for getting the buck on the score board for us?
I think you have until the end of hunting season to submit your score if I'm not mistaken. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I don't think it'll be a big deal as long as it's submitted at some point during the contest. It would probably be a good idea for one of the staff/mods to be made aware of the situation though.
Yep just let fitz know and should be fine! Any estimates on score? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
In the 120's is my guess? On the low end I am sure. If it did not happen so fast I might have passed. I have passed bucks in the past but they were not as heavy. Big body on him as I have dragged out many deer and this guy wore me out. I am happy and that is all that counts.
