I'm headed out twice tomorrow. The morning looks beautiful...45°, SSW wind, and pressure at 30.19. I'm setting up some cams and scent drippers on new scrapes. Then I'm sitting an old property for the first time this year. Should be a fun day!

I need the standing corn to go! Was sitting there as the sun come up saw a HUGE body and I am sure it is my buck I have yet to get pictures of that I had from last year. He walked out of the standing corn at the other end of the my corn that is taken out. I know it is him because he is the biggest deer out there that comes through and is EASY 300+ on the hoof! After that I had two yearlings playing like dogs right behind me but they both are way to small for my liking! Had them both at 5 yards. Here is the big boy that I am talking about. First is a picture of him and second is a video. I wish he was fully in the picture but I will take what I get:

Well, with all the family health stuff that's been going on I'm afraid I officially suck *** as a team member guys...I'm sorry. Hopefully we get things sorted out and I have a decent latter half of a season.

Way more important to deal with than hunting. Hopefully everything is going better for you.

I ended up seeing 9 does/fawns today...7 in shooting range. One group was at 8-12 yards, but needed to take a couple more steps to be in my shooting window. I watched a fawn fight with a big tom turkey over acorns. Another group of 3 snuck in from downwind and an old grandma doe busted me on the draw. I'm SO close to getting the job done. I pulled cards and got 5k pics...not a single buck.

I hope everything is going better with your family. Family is the most important thing, I believe, in a persons life.

Finished combining last night. Was on the last pass with the grain cart and as I turned the lights across the field/tree edge, there were 9 deer that made their way out into the field. For sure two bucks, nothing huge that I could see but we have a nice cold front coming tonight through Sunday and I have a perfect light S SE wind for my best stand which happens to be on this field's edge. We are weaning calves Saturday but still hope to make it out on a few sits tomorrow night through Sunday night.

    Meh....
No, that's not a meh as in "big deal"...it was actually a reflex reaction, I was trying to stop that big SOB so I could shoot him.

Congrats! Looks like everything is in order.
Well today was my first sit of the year (it was more talking then hunting lol). I wasn't planning on it being only half a day, but unfortunately there was a death in the family so I had to leave to pay my respects. Mainly does and a couple small bucks on the camera but I think I found the next spot I'm going to hunt for a doe. Unfortunately that wont be until Sunday. Sorry about not being able to bring any points to the board yet.
