Awesome bud, that's sweet! Congrats on the kill and starting your sons hunting life off with a memory he'll never forget!
Well, I went out this morning and sat in the wrong stand! I had a doe walk right under my other stand as I watched her go by! Then I flopped memory cards out when I got done and this is the recent pictures:
Man I need to get out! Had a few minutes to check cameras in-between cornfields and have multiple bucks moving in the mornings. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Got out yesterday afternoon for the first time. Saw 5 deer, one 2.5 buck that was not in shooting range but I would have passed. One yearly doe on its own but not in range then 2 does and a fawn that I have a lot of pics of them together. I am thinking the solo doe is her last years fawn and never left her come within 30 yards but never presented a shot. Pulled cards and have the big wide 8/9 point on there during the daytime...mid day and then the normal 1.5-2.5's then what looks like a 3.5 but not much for points, mainbeam and 2 on one side then 3 on the other with a split G2 at the top.
Beautiful morning for my first sit. Sure does feel good to be back at it! Saw a doe and fawn, small fork and a basket six. Very mature doe I'd love to have in the freezer if I don't get any chances at bucks. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Another good sit last night. Saw two does, two fawns, a 5 point, 4 point and a 9 point. They all walked right down the trail I was hoping for at 20 yards. The 9 is one I am on the fence about. Unfortunately didn't see him straight on so cant tell how wide he is. His right side is pretty nice but the left side is like it's taken off a completely different buck as far as being like a "typical basket rack" side.
I have yet to make it out yet. Been super busy and probably won't make it out until Halloween Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
