Dawg, what kind of snake is that? It's scales look like it's poison but it's head looks like it isn't? I've never seen one quite like that. I know you have Copperheads and rattlers and cottonmouths up there but that one doesn't look like any of those I've ever seen (obviously no rattles, lol). I'm guessing some sort of rat snake or water snake?

Cool pic, he seems to think he's poison and bad a##, lol.

Yes I put them on FB! This would be an approximate 12" Juvenile Brown Snake! He sure was acting tough!

This doe was broadside at 10 yards when the little one walked out. They both walked and I went to work. Lots of season left.

Yeah we have most of the season to go yet, no need to do that. I have not even been in a stand yet this year. Of course, I don't typically have to spend a lot of time in a stand to get meat deer. I'd rather sacrifice the contest than to kill a fawn or it's wet mother.

My wind was all over the place this morning. I had something walk under me before sunrise and then got busted by a doe with 2 fawns at about 8:30. A yote snuck up 10 yards behind me, but he trotted into the honeysuckle before I could take a shot. Fun morning for sure!

This morning, I had 2 does step into the field at 25 yards. I was scared to draw because they were both on high alert. They looked around for a minute and trotted back into the woods. I'm kicking myself for not at least trying to draw. Other than that, I almost had to take out a possum...out of self defense.

Went to the farm this weekend and and did the last few things to get it hunt ready. Pulled the cams and seems like all the good bucks are on acorns. Did get these two though. The younger one I'd like to see in two years. [IMG][IMG]

Well season opens for me on Thursday and I will be out Friday and Saturday. Then going to watch my RAIDERS kick the crap out of the BEARS on Sunday in person with my dad.

    Good luck!

We were rained out of work, so I get a rare weekday sit today. I'll be in a natural ground blind at my newest property. I really just wanted to get a camera out there, but I'll hang out for the evening and see what shows up.
