Oh your state sucks! That means you sucks by default. I'm at the eastern Ks grazing school today, tonight and tomorrow so won't be on as much as usual.
I stopped to poke roadkill with a stick. I keep a hacksaw in my truck, but it didn't seem worth the effort.
Food plot is planted waiting on rain. Most of the preseason honey dos are done. Seventeen days and a wake up for opening day.
Looks like it's low in N, but that's just the sun messing with the colors! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I'll be checking mine Saturday, and finishing up hanging a stand and getting cameras back out. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
That's what Hellraiser had last year. It might have been some kind of force field that just deflected my arrow over his back.
You might consult a doctor about that. There maybe a pill or a cream for that! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I'm back from my educational tour at grazing school! Lots of cool stuff learned, glad it wasn't a waste of time.
I had 100" and 120" 8 pointers run 200 yards across a bean field and stop 20 yards from me and a coworker. Both still in full velvet. I'm SO amped for season!
What exactly is grazing school? I'm going to go out on a limb and say it has something to do with cattle? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Ha, yeah...2015 Eastern Kansas cattle grazing school. They taught some things about stocking densities, nutrition, fencing, watering systems, range management, etc... We want to work some cattle into our soil health practices like cover crop on the ranch and also utilize some of the rougher land that isn't adequate for crop use. I'm ignorant/inexperienced when it comes to handling livestock so I have to be educated as much as possible on the subject before I/we invest a buttload of money in it. Very little of the ranch is set up to handle livestock so I have time to learn while we work on improvements to accommodate cattle. Have to have fence, water set up and plan for intensive rotational grazing and mob grazing.
