I'm hoping by next this weekend I will have some really nice deer on camera. I finally put my new cameras out on my #1 spot this last weekend, so we will see.

Covey, where do you buy your trail cams when you buy in sets?

I've ordered two packs of ten from a company called VMInnovations in the past. One set was the old 2013 M-880's and then another ten pack of the 2014 models from the same place. I think the price break got them down to like $100-$105 each or so.

Then we ordered ten of the G42ng Stealth Cams from Amazon but I don't think they came as a package deal of ten. I think they were two four packs and a two pack or something. The price break got them down to like $115 each.

I packed up my scouting partners (wife and daughter), binos and the DSLR to go watch the bachelor group again. The camera battery was dead, but we were able to watch 28 does and 8 bucks for about half an hour. One nice 10 was out of velvet and a decent 8 was working on it. I'm charging the camera battery right now and plan to head back out tomorrow for another try...

Re fletched the wife's hunting arrows, got all the tree stands and blinds (wife only hunts out of blinds now) out of the shed and inspected the cables and straps. Its amazing how many of them cam straps for climbing sticks I have to buy every year, I needed 6 this year and had to buy 8.

    One Climber
    Three Ladder Stands
    Six hang on
Three 20' climbing sticks, six Lone Wolf sticks
and four Blinds all good to go!

I gave the grad kids half dozen hang on stands and 3 sets of climbing sticks last season, now that I think of it that may be where my straps went!

Have my eye on a real good buck here by the house might go around 140" (big for around here) hopefully I can drop the string on him before heading to Kentucky the last week of Oct.

27 days! with some of our seasons starting soon I want to say, Good Luck and Be Safe
