I pulled cards today...have not been through all the cards, just three so far. I'll say this...hold on to your frickin butts. good golly.
A quick trip to Lowe's for zip ties (treestand branch fasteners) ended with the wife getting a new vacuum...
Well, part of my task down. I went to move my stand and put up 6 trail cams. I got 5 cams up and then I had a herd of Bulls run at me in the pasture that I hunt. The farmer sold part of it but I guess they are letting him keep the bulls in the pasture until they build. My stand is in the pasture and that is where I hunted last year. I hope they move the cattle over again before season. I hope to get some pics up soon but will probably leave them sit for at least one or two weeks before I check them for the first time. Two are set on video and the rest are pictures. I have two Bushnells and the rest are Coverts. Looks like we will be getting some good bucks down with all the trail cam pics that have been up. Great bucks all.
Well...I had to expand my hit list after going through todays card pull. I'm uploading some pics to photobucket now, I'll post them over here when they get done. It was a good day.
These are all new deer that I've not posted on the forum before. Big wide nine point This wide one is an eight point. This group of pics is the same group of bucks just different angles.
Yeah that tall slender racked buck is the one named Gnurley that I thought died from a wound in his rear flank last year and it's also the one I posted in Tyni's thread about the forum's top ten bucks a while back when he was only about half developed. This is the first set of pics I've gotten of him since like June. This is the old pic: New pic:
Haha, yeah I think I would too. That buck last year only had a half rack. He looks pretty awesome in a unique way this year with that big split left side.
How did you guys change your avatar? I clicked save image as, saved it to my desktop, then went to change it and it said invalid file?
Nevermind, it finally went through. Good looking bucks Covey. I found out where two decent bucks are bedding last night, should be able to kill one of them if he doesn't change his pattern too much.
Alright guys, some property help needed! I'm attaching two pictures (same property) that I want to check out this fall. I haven't been to it yet and don't think I will have time before season starts. I'm not the best at reading maps and going on a whim. Any advice on the property?? If anyone has some time to put in paint and show me some key points they are seeing, that would be great! Both are real close to the property lines but not exact.
