I hope we're better with our bows than electronics! Thanks for doing all this Covey, much appreciated!
You're welcome guys! That may be the extent of my team contribution this year, I really like the signature tags, they look pretty cool if I do say so myself. The individual team member name personalization of them was a slick idea.
I did all that the first time....still nothing been trying. Oh well hope my luck is better in the woods. EDIT: Well crap there it is. LOL
Are you guys doing anything this weekend to get ready? I'm working at one of the farms to earn my hunting privileges and checking an easy to reach camera. I would shoot, but that bow will be my backup in about a week.
Going to float a couple rivers as a dual waterfowl/deer scouting trip weather pending. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
That sounds awesome! When are you going to do this? And for me all I'm doing is getting out to a local club and shooting in an archery tournament and get together.
As far as actual time? If so, plan to be in some good spots around 10-2. That's the main time ducks will be on the rivers loafing before and after feeding. Deer I will be simply looking for crossings and anything else I can see from the water. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I have to run feeders and trail cams Sunday. Tomorrow, I'll be working on food plots again maybe, spent the day today working on my wing mower with a loose gearbox and a hidden row of bolts that are damnear unreachable without full disassembly, freaking engineers ALso have to close off the structures in the duck marshes...which I should have done today and I forgot it with my mechanic job...calling for rain tonight and teal opens Sept 12 in MO. Marshes look freaking incredible though not as good as I had hoped. I had to just let natural food come in rather than planting them due to all the rain this year. All's well though the natural stuff did pretty well as it is. Lots of smart weed and sedge and wild millet (barnyard grass) and rushs' even have some pondweed, arrowhead and dock so should be good if we can get some water in them. I'm setting up some cameras on the marshes this year dammnit.
I'm putting in a new foodplot tomorrow, checking trail cameras, and just got back from shinning the local fields. New food plot is adjacent to bedding and a rut corridor, I shot a 170" 3 years ago cutting through it. Planting rye in hopes of holding more does, looking forward to it. I'll try to get some pictures.
