I have this buddy who hunts both Arkansas and Oklahoma. I think he has killed 6 deer this year, so far. He doesn't hunt from treestands, perfers to stillhunt. Well, today, he desides to go home on his lunch hour. He grabs his bow and heads into a small patch of woods behind his house, which is just outside of the city limits. As he's making his way through the woods, he spots this buck standing behind a tree. He stops and grunts at this buck. The buck steps out, just to take an arrow right thru the lungs. The buck runs off. My buddy finds his arrow covered from end to end with blood and takes up the blood trail. He wasn't able to find him right away and had to head back to work. His neighbor finds his buck for him. I am sure he will share. Hopefully, pictures to follow and that some of his luck will rub off on me. Not a great picture but a nice buck.
Oh yeah, I have a buddy like that. The guy could put a treestand up on a lightpole right along Main Street and still shoot a good buck. Meanwhile I work my butt off all season trying to find a spot, and I've only seen two small bucks. Drives me crazy!
