Just a little something I find noteworthy: My department has taken a recent hit in man-power. My supervisor is on vacation, another coworker is out on FMLA with his wife and 1st born, and we have another guy recovering from back surgery. Being the next in line, this has created a huge work load for me. I've been bumped from my scheduled vacation and I'm currently working 60-65 hours per week. My energy and sanity levels are both completely drained. BUT (here's where it gets better), I have some good friends from a neighboring department, who were having a cookout yesterday evening. Somebody brought up my situation... and 30 minutes later, I was located and delivered some of the best BBQ'd back straps EVER, fresh off the grill!! It's the little things like this that remind me how good life is!
I agree 100%. We are all lucky to be alive. I actually told myself that this morning as I ate a simple bowl of cereal. How lucky am I to wake up and make something like a bowl of cereal...seriously, many people on Earth struggle just to get a bite of food every day.
Yup............ I have been told that when you think you have it bad just take a look around..........you will see how good you have it
Quit your beeching and do what has to be done. Right now that sounds like eat some ribs. Do your job and life will come back in balance soon. Little bumps happen from time to time. You know it's not permanent... so quit your beeching and show them you can handle a job above your level.
