The past two Sat I have hunted with my brother, and it has been a long time since we have had the chance to spend this kind of time together.. On opening day of spring gobbler I killed my second turkey with my bro calling him in..we heard 15 different gobblers the first day and yesterday we heard 20 ...it is so wonderful to spend a sunrise in the spring woods of Va with a loved one.. I really hope all of you get to experience what I have the past two saturdays, not just the hunting, but the time spent with family and friends in the world of nature and making memories....good luck all!

Vs that is what the sport is truly all about. I understand that some people (myself included sometimes) like to just go solo and all, but since my wife has started hunting and sharing the interest with me I have truly enjoyed every minuet when hunting with her and shooting with her. I had the opportunity this past year to take my brother in law on his first deer hunt, he got a doe, then I got to take him on his first turkey hunt, he didnt get one but we got close. I got more of a kick out of watching him enjoy the hunt, than I have on most of my own hunts.

On a side note, DANG thats alot of gobbling.

That is alot of gobbling. It's good to hear you and your bro were out again. I can imagine there is nothing like it. I envy you guys that have that opportunity.

Thats just awesome Lance!! Did just that with my 9 year old Sat on the opener of youth season. We had a wonderful hunt in the am before it turned sour. We had gobbling all over, was working the birds closer, then a truck drives down the gated lane and parked 80 yards from the field. It was two guys that have a gate key but they are not on our lease. We let them drive through the property to access there 10 acres that is on the back side of ours. Well they decided they were sneaking in on us and fishing on our lease. These two guys hate the thought of people comming on there land. They had no clue we were back there as we had walked from our house through the fields, ruined or hunt, tresspassed, got busted by me, got ran off by me, and made a kids almost first turkey just a bad experience for him. But anyway, I loved the time i get to spend with my loved ones as well!!

Thanks guys. It is truly a joy..my brother got out of deer hunting for about 10 yrs and he turkey hunted instead and I was too busy fishing tournaments and I finally just said what the heck and went with him once or twice last yr and had some fun...this he joined a great lease with birds everywhere and Im hooked!!! My 35,000$ Triton is just sitting in the drive way pouting as it has been in the upper 70's the past 3 days and I have not even given bass a thought! We did a some deer hunting together last yr and plan on doing a lot more this yr. For those who have brothers Im sure you can understand what Im feeling...as we get older we often times drift apart due to kids, job, where we live ect...but this is will not be the case with us!

Thats awesome, there's no one I'd rather hun with than my little brother. I agree.. Nothing like a spring morning, can't beat it.

Except maybe a nice crisp early November morning:d

Congrats on the bird. Any opportunity to hunt with family is what its all about.

you bet guys! It's kind of gay but oh well....man Im a hopeless romatic I guess...sharing the early mornings in the spring in the under low light and hearing 10-15 different birds sounding off in all directions and then looking at my brother when he says "holy sh*t!" "you hear that?" is priceless..he's like a 17 yr old boy on prom night with a pocket full Trojans and ....well you get the point. He gets really pumped for it and my blood gets racing and my adrenline takes over we just can't even decide which bird to go after....God love it!!!
