Great read. I truly believe we should be teaching our youth to enjoy the outdoors and to hunt. You can learn so much from being out in God's creation. Can't wait to read more. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Hi All The last weeks of the season had the Kid doing some muzzle loader hunting with some other folks so the last post ended up to be his last archery hunt for the 2015 season. Over all he did good and I had a lot of fun. I will be shooting with Blake over the summer so that we can get him out to 30 yards and I will post a 2016 thread on our adventures. I am trophy doe hunting in northern Virginia. Lots of tags to fill. Forecast for Saturday is snow and 20 mph wind arghhh.
Just found and read this. Thank you for both the post and your efforts for the kid. Now I have another reason to be anxious for next fall.
Hi All So far the year has been a bust for the kid. In September he asked to use my backup bow so we headed out to the pro shop to see if we could make adjustments to get it to fit him. It was good enough however if they would have had a shorter module in stock I would have gotten him one.I could tell he was not sure it was an ok fit. As it turned out he decided to use his old bow cranked it up and got some new arrows and some new slick tricks. He also signed up for a travel soccer team and that has screwed up most of his time off. I also know he has not practiced so I told him he would be stuck at the 20 yards for shooting until he shoots with me and can hit the kill zone at 30 yards. Blake has been out hunting with relatives a few times but has not made it back to my place so far this year. It has been a good year for seeing deer and I feel confident he would have had an opportunity at a doe or a small buck. We have a few weeks left in bow here in VA so he may make it yet. Thanks for the comments
I was wondering the same about the kid. Thanks for the update. Keep us posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
