Does anyone have one or first hand opinions on them?

I have been wanting one of the Taurus Judge's for probably close to 5 or 6 years. Had the money in hand but the dealer was a jerk so i told him he wasnt good enough for my money..... but been thinking about one lately..

reason for getting it is fishing, primarily, and then summer time in the woods with the snakes. we hunt a decent amount of swamp land and the rivers and what not around here have some snakes too.

When it comes to snakes youve never seen a grown 235 pound man run faster, and maybe a girlish scream.. i hate them.

Have one in my travel trailer for close range defense. Like haven't had a need to use it but have shot it a bit. It would be an awesome snake gun!

There a good gun, I would go with the 3'' Barrel is you plan on shooting mostly .410 The 6'' rifling is too much spin for the BB's. Accuracy is not the best either, it's more of a under your feet gun when it comes to snake. The 45 colt is even worse on accuracy, ecspecially in the 3'' chamber.

All in all, for your use, i'd say go for it.

I have one, 3" brl, and like it a lot. I also got it for camping/hiking and home defense (to a degree). I normally keep it in the gun safe on my dresser with buckshot but use 4 shot when hiking/camping. Definitely a close range weapon even with the .45 rounds.
