Most bucks are already completely out of velvet here by Sept. 15th. I shot this guy on Sept.21st 2 years ago. He had 3 friends with him at the time and not one of them had a trace of velvet or blood.

That's a dandy man! I'm looking to get a velvet buck one of these seasons. What did that buck score?

I remember seeing pics of this buck, did you call him turkey foot? Maybe I'm making that up but looks familiar.

    165"

I never named him. First time I ever saw him. Shot him on public ground the same night I hung the stand and cut the lanes. Nick is hunting a buck named turkey foot.

That's awesome man, heck of a buck. Pretty sweet it came from public land as well. The left brow looked like a turkey foot and had me thinking.

Yah, it was a pretty special. My BF went back in there when the wind was right 10 days later and kill his buddy. We killed 2 B&C class deer on public ground from the same tree stand in 2 hunts and only handful of hours in the stand.

I drove by that property last week and there is corn again just like there was in 2013. You know where I am going to be opening day. :)

His was a "pretty deer". His G2s were crazy long!

I have sent a PM to Flyguy already. I will see about sending him an email today as well.

The name can be simple. For all I care it could be "Deer Hunters". LOL

I too am good with Henson as captain. As far as the name, doesn't matter to me I like simple. How about the Huntsmen or D.O.A. (Dead on arrival) The cap can pick whatever and I'm good with it.
