Most bucks are already completely out of velvet here by Sept. 15th. I shot this guy on Sept.21st 2 years ago. He had 3 friends with him at the time and not one of them had a trace of velvet or blood.
I hunt just west of Fort Scott every year.. Season starts here in Ill on oct 1st but sept 15th in Missouri and don't hunt Kansas til later in year..
I remember seeing pics of this buck, did you call him turkey foot? Maybe I'm making that up but looks familiar.
165" I never named him. First time I ever saw him. Shot him on public ground the same night I hung the stand and cut the lanes. Nick is hunting a buck named turkey foot.
That's awesome man, heck of a buck. Pretty sweet it came from public land as well. The left brow looked like a turkey foot and had me thinking.
Yah, it was a pretty special. My BF went back in there when the wind was right 10 days later and kill his buddy. We killed 2 B&C class deer on public ground from the same tree stand in 2 hunts and only handful of hours in the stand. I drove by that property last week and there is corn again just like there was in 2013. You know where I am going to be opening day. His was a "pretty deer". His G2s were crazy long!

Anybody message fly guy???? We need to and if someone has they should do it again and if he doesn't reply we need to replace him.. Also we need a name for this Winning Team and does everyone agree with henson59 being captain???? I say Yay..
I have sent a PM to Flyguy already. I will see about sending him an email today as well. The name can be simple. For all I care it could be "Deer Hunters". LOL
I too am good with Henson as captain. As far as the name, doesn't matter to me I like simple. How about the Huntsmen or D.O.A. (Dead on arrival) The cap can pick whatever and I'm good with it.
