Well, I finally killed a buck! It's been 4 years for me. He's a basic 8pt (one tine broken) with 3 crazy points coming from the base of the left beam, so he has 10 points. He's at the taxi, and I wouldn't have any idea how to score something like him anyway, so I don't know if it can help the team point wise. I have pics posted on the thread I started.

    Awesome job congratulations!!!!

Ask your taxidermist to score him for you. Most of them know how to score deer.

Just have him write it out so you can post the measurements.

That's a good thought, I hadn't even considered that. I'll ask him about it.

Congrats! I did see pics of him in the other forum. He is a cool buck for sure! Also any P&Y scorer should be willing to help you! I wouldn't be surprised if there is one really close to you. I would contact them and ask if they would be willing to score a really unique buck!

The link below will help you find a scorer in your area! PM me your city & state if you need help and I'll help find you someone for you to call!

I called my taxi today and he said he scores most of the bucks he mounts. I wasn't aware of that, as I've never had a mount done by him in the past. I imagine I should have the score sheet in a week or so. It'll be nice helping out with some team points. Obviously, this isn't a large buck, but I wouldn't trade his character for anything! Having the number of really good trail cam pics of him that I have, makes him a really special buck!

I had roughly 130 hours on stand (2 spots) prior to killing him, so I really put in the time. During this same time I had to PULL 6 ticks (not all at once) off of me! I did about 9 dark to dark hunts and a number of 4 hour sits. Maybe the most time I've put in during the rut.

Not having a wife allows me to get away with what I do. So, I'm sure that gives me an edge that a lot of guys don't have. lol

I have 3 pics, but they are very similar since they were taken in the same exact spot. We just need a variation of my position in 2 different pics?

Grrrr.... The buck I have been after was in back in there during shooting hrs Saturday PM and it was the only day I couldn't hunt! I am going to keep after hi. He is bigger every time I see him. At least 13 scorable points.

Just got some info last night that there was a 160 inch 8 point running a doe on the property I hunt. The guy that saw him says that the drop tine buck I have wont make 160 so this 8 must be a stud. I also have video of a buck that will go about 180 conservatively. I'm leaving work early today to see if I can make it happen.

Went out tonight but got a late start and had to compromise on my stand placement. Looking back that was a mistake. I saw 3 deer right at dark. I was already tearing down. First was a doe with a buck in toe grunting like you wouldn't believe. Next deer I couldn't tell what sex it was. It's good to know they are still chasing. Going to hit it again in the AM. We have a bit of a cold snap tonight. Hope it gets them moving!

Yea, we're going to get some much colder temps as well. My buck tag is filled, so I'm working tomorrow. Damn.

Who all hasn't posted their deer yet? I am pretty sure if we could get everyone to score their deer we would be pretty close to 3rd place. There is very little points that separate 1 through 3rd. Can we make it a priority?

We can. I'm waiting for my taxi to score my buck, and as soon as he does I'll post the score sheet.

Thanks Early In! I think it is just another means of motivating team members if they can see light! Who else has bucks to score? Suncrest?
