Guys, Just want to be proactive. I see there are several people that have posted an ineligible kill on the board. For the love, please be sure to take two photos AND make sure those photos are unique. Make a different face, re-position your hands or something so there are no questions the same photo wasn't used twice. I have seen at least one, maybe more where it looked like the person took the same photo and manipulated it to look like a different photo by cropping it, etc.... Lets not let there be any question that the photos are indeed unique. The photo(S) SHOULD include you, your bow, and the deer!
I am going to need your guys to stop slacking off and get out in the woods. Because my season hasn't started yet I am living my hunting life though you fellas right now so get out there and shoot something! LOL
I'd love to be in the woods right now. Unfortunately I did something really stupid and not sure I can even pull my bow back right now. My right shoulder feels like its going to fall off!
Before you did something stupid was either of the phrases "Hey wanna see something cool?" or "Hey watch this!" uttered?
Hahahah! I only wish I was that adventures. I forgot how much 3rd graders weighed. Apparently picking them up throwing them over my head onto my shoulders for a piggy back ride was a bad idea. I haven't decided if I just strained something or I need to go see the Doc. We really dont need anymore medical bills right now. I figured I would give it a few more days before crying uncle.
at least you got options if need be. The other evening I saw 4 doe and a buck at last light he was at 15 yds couldn't tell what he was exactly, I'm hunting a crab apple thicket and just couldn't get a good look at him through all the brush. I was gonna take the doe but she had a fawn with her still in spots so I passed.
I'm feeling quite a bit better today. My youngest has surgery tomorrow A.M to get his tonsils and adenoids removed. I hope to be able to possibly hunt Friday morning and possibly in the evening being my wife is taking the day off.
Hope your son is doing well, I'm pumped for this weekend! I'll be hunting All day sat and Sunday in Ohio for the opening weekend. There's some good bucks using the area frequently hopefully I can put one down early!
I guess I shoulda specified, when I said all day I ment just morning and evening both Saturday and Sunday. In between sits I'm going to check cams at different locations.
Well my plans to hunt went to south. My son started bleeding early last night. We took him to the ER around 9 PM and they had him back in surgery around mid night. He was puking blood. It's scared us to death. There was so much blood they had to pump his stomach before they could tube him. I didn't get home until after 3 AM. They didn't release him from the hospital until early this evening. I think I've slept about 3 hours in the last 2 days. I feel like **** to say the least. It will probably take me a couple days to recover. Between that and all other kids activities I'll be lucking to get to hunt at all in the next several days. I am just glad my youngest boy is feeling better. Hopefully the worst is behind us.
Yeah hunting gets put on the back burner when something like this happens. Just get some rest and take care of your boy. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I hope your son gets well soon, it has to hurt seeing him in distress. The woods will always be there for you later. I got a cam pic of a nice (for my woods) 8pt in my hunting area, but I can't hunt him with this non-stop (6 days) NE breeze/wind!! That's the worst possible direction for where he is hanging. I'm hoping I can get to hunt him before the rut, before he starts wondering around the countryside.
Dunn did you end up getting your buck scored and if so have you checked him in yet? We need to try and get him on the board soon so we don't have any issues.
Well Missouri was a bust but got some stands up and Illinois opens in 3 days and I have lots of deer on camera, nothing huge but lots..
