Only thing that upsets me is the fact I was working a shutdown when the news broke and Vito got to post it first...hook, y'all will miss his punt returning and big play potential...but a cover corner game changer (Claiborne) he is not.
He might not have been the best cover corner, but now we will have to put a freshman in his place with no experience whatsoever. That is what I'm worried about.
No discipline even when $$$ is in the near future....ALL he had to do was stay mentally tough for another 5 months of his life....goodness gracious what a moron.
He smoked some weed...it's not like he raped or murdered someone Being kicked of the team is not a slap on the wrist
Do you suppose there is a place, with no consequences to arrogant opposition to your boss' rules. Hmm? Nope, can't think of any. He would have done the same thing in the NFL and drug his team through a mess. B'Bye... wish the rest of the teams would follow the hatter's example. I just became an LSU fan. Well... I was already except against Auburn.
This twit seems to have no trouble finding work, so I believe this minor set back will be short lived. NFL owners are a forgiving sort so I'm betting he still has a future in the big leagues. http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/...-on-domestic-violence-charge/?test=latestnews
No, it is the policy of LSU to dismiss after the 3rd failed test. Miles had no choice in this. Please don't go from just a barner to a barner and a corn dog.
Funny guy... Hey... I am a Tiger fan... except Tiger Woods. Actually, I lived in Louisiana for a few years and rooted for them then when they mostly stunk.
Mathieu is a return guy at best in the NFL. College football is his glory time. This hurts him a lot more than most people think. There have thousands of stand out players in collegiate athletics. Just because a few major names get in trouble every year, lets not act like all of these kids are out of control. I know stereotyping is fun, but its not always true.
Agreed... except it was his glory time. Actually, Kudos to the job these coaches do controlling most of these young men. Every now and then, there are some who just don't believe the rules apply and for the sake of the team, have to be marginalized or worse, released. Micael Dyer was a big distraction at Auburn from what I hear.
Could this get any better?! He just checked into rehab..... for pot. I repeat, he put school/football on hold....for drug rehab over smoking weed. LMAO I mean, I realize this is his "team" of guys telling him to save face for pr...but lol this is beyond absurd.
It's really a sad story. He had the world at his fingertips and is letting it slip away. Before you write him off as just another thug, consider his family history... A mother that didn't raise him and a father that is in jail for murder.. Is there any question of whether he has some deep seeded issues?
He's a college kid that smokes weed. Not sure that qualifies as deep seeded issues. If it does, then there are a lot of college kids with deep issues. A lot.
I blame it all on the Doritoes, they are hard to put down, even home stone makes those bastards irresistible.
Can you rehab discipline, how about self control, maybe throw in just a wee little bit of "give a ****" for good measure?
It's either this, or a PR move so that he can be back at LSU next season and save his chances in the NFL.
Im going with door number two...but he doesn't have to save his chances really...Somebody will pick him up regardless.
