This thread is where we keep all the hunters who can't be out today. It's a sad dark place but we will have our day and it will be GLORIOUS! I need to get out of this holding cell because I feel like im being institutionalized! HELP!
I'm in IL, but I've been on-call for work the last two weeks. I'll be in the woods next weekend for sure, but perhap a couple of Vacation days will be used soon. I am trying to save those days for all day sits in early Nov.
I'm here (SE Pa) now because I don't do morning hunts until the pre-rut/rut. I'll be in for the evening hunt though.
I work half a day today. I went out lastnight but with this moon they aren't moving until real late. I will be out in the morning though to catch them as they are headed to bed.

I'm not out there because I have to work in the hospital today. I might get out Monday but not sure yet because I have a class Monday afternoon. Look out though deer, because after this coming week, I am off for four straight weeks. BOOYAH!!!! Blessings......Pastorjim
You are very correct I should have specified. I did see two does and a little fork buck. However with the corn field to the south only being 1/3 cut and the current moon phase the big boys do not come out until after dark as is proven on my game camera. They come out of the corn from the south cross the river to the side I hunt but well after dark. The does and little bucks are out but I have no desire to shoot a little buck and will not take a doe until the last week of season if I haven't taken a decent buck by then.
I'm not hunting because dad has 4 guys paying to hunt for the weekend, therefore I have to wait till monday before I can get back in the stand.
I could hunt today if I want...but I'm going to a football game with my Dad and Brothers instead. I'll be hunting every weekend after this one through thanksgiving...and have the first week of Nov off. I really don't get all that excited to get out there until around the last 10 days of Oct to be honest with you.
My son had a football game today, and I have family stuff going on all weekend. Dont want to make the wife mad before Wendseday. I will be hunting most of the next month then. :D
