I will now never look at one of your posts without thinking... This is a guy who studied elvish........
I love Tolkien but you guys are complete Nerds. J/k I have read the book three times in the last month waiting to go see this movie. I hopefully will be able to this Friday. All the complaints I am hearing about the ending is the same complaints I heard about FOTR. Each Movie will get better. As far as changing some of the scenes I am ok with it as long as the movie flows. He did it in all 3 LOTR movies. Elrond giving the sword at the beginning of the last movie when Aragon got it in the first movie, Moving the Fight scene Frodo and Shelob to the thrid book when it should have been in the second. There are a hundred things that where changed in the trilogy. Anyway really looking forward to this movie.
I'll concede that...but The Hobbit is better in the fact that it's the foundation the others and the entire fantasy world was built upon. That said I'll pick up the LOTR over The Hobbit everyday.
The only thing I get from reading the last three pages of this post is the dire straits that the public education system in America is in. "Hobits" really, thank God its not long till Easter when all of the talk about rabbits will top these boards.
You say some crazy stuff sometimes. I'm with Hooker, what does any of this thread show that our public education system is in dire straights (not that I disagree completely but for completely different reasons).
First it's Hobbits, if you are going to slam the education system in America at least spell words correctly Second nobody cares what you think about the Hobbit.
I only read The Hobbit because it was required in my elementary school class. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
