How much money do you have in materials for this basket? I hunt by myself 99% of the time, with just my Polaris Sportsman 800 H.O. to load the deer onto most of the time. Its hell getting those big bucks up onto the rear rack by myself

Also, does your quad have a 2" receiver? Mine only has an 1 1/4" receiver, and its not exactly thick steel. Think it would be too much pressure with up to 300lbs in the basket? I'd be a little worried with mine

I have the cost of the matt I screwed into the basket and the screws. Maybe $15. Plus I bought the hitch haul for $60. Being a tool maker has its benefits. Lol

I made a 2" receiver for my 4 wheeler several years back.

Ahh, I didn't know if you used scrap steel from work or not

I don't know why Polaris puts 1 1/4" receivers on the Sportsmans, I'm always afraid I will bend/break it when I hook my trailer full of wood onto it. Might look into welding my own 2" receiver on sometime and building a basket like yours. Looks awfully convenient! Nice work by the way, looks clean.

Have or make an adapter that goes from the 1 1/4 to 2"
