Oh dear heavens, I started a feed switch. Ali is not taking to it wetl and lucky isn't having issues after I added a bit of pumpkin puree. Lucky is nearly potty trained and Ali is still trying. I wake at 4a.m tomorrow and hit the road at 5:30 to get them to their spaying appointment. I will have to be there until 3-4 pm. So have a car inspection scheduled at 8:30. I'll then head out to do some big box shopping. I have had "bed" issues with lucky chewing, Ali soiling. Yesterday I sewed up a waterproof ,scratch, chew resistant bed. Oh boy Lucky was ticked she scratched and dug at that bed all night to no avail....lol I'll stitch one up for Ali this week
Man oh man, dogs are smart and really into retaliation. I give Lucky a new scratch /chew resistant water proof bed. When she decided she couldn't dig or scratch a hole in it, she'd soak it. 3 times this morning she dumped her water dish to no avail. Simple wipe up.
Cross fingers the girls are in for surgery. My condolences to those of you driving morning rush hour daily it was a long 1hr 15 mins..
They did well at surgery. Ali did well after. Lucky not so much. She is very ill, refusing to potty, vomiting restless and whimpering. That is due to the stomach issues. Shecwas car sick all the way home dripping in drool. We have pads out because it is cold and pouring out with the ground just saturated. They are not to get wet and won't go out in it any ways. No need for the head cones yet.
They woke up way better this morning. It eased up on the rain front this a.m. so they went out to potty in a mist ,which turned out pretty well for both. BTW they had a weigh in. Lucky shot up to 30#'s and Ali is just 25#'s. Not concerned for Lucky is structurally way bigger. Her head ,frame and in height. She's just a bigger girl.
Poor Lucky, I've been introducing them to the birds. She stands infront of the door and the birds pile out around her. She's very good and just stands there trying to sniff them as they pass. Well big blue my tom was in the door way and thought she should move. A few mins. passed and he finally decided to hop down and past her. Not happy about the wait as he did he quickly reached out and slapped her face...lol it was so fast neither of us could react and she just looked back at me with a " what the heck ma?!!" Look on her face. Lol
Had the grand dog and my son's girlfriends dog overnight Saturday, his girlfriends dog fits right in likes to look out the windows and watch, also city dogs like a yard with no fence and plenty of smells.
Oh boy took the pups out for a last potty break. Lighted cap on. they potty in the hedgerow between farm field and drive. My light caught 3 sets of eyes right on the edge of hedge row. Hedg row is less than 50 ft wide. I yell, then growl , nothing, they are staring us down. I fianally let loose with a loud coyote yippy/ howl. They finally move off. That was a first and unnerving, I wonder if their den has been flooded out. There is wide spread flooding and states of emergency all around us. The dens are down hill from us . We are near top of a steep hill yet still have a mid hill swamp where they are denied up.
