My son's dog up again love Larry and he is like the grandkids here, he gets to spend hours outside unfenced, he is trusted he does not go far. So much more stimulus for a hound dog here he has woods and water and no fences vs an empty lot and the freeway close.

We've got about 5 acres for Jersey to run in. No electric dog fence for her to deal with or regular fence. I have walked her around the perimeter since she was a pup on a lead. She turns 5 next September. She knows not to cross the line. Matter of fact she turns and looks at me when she gets close. Smartest dog I've ever owned.

American bulldogs are slobbering beast.. but they are loyal beyond belief!

I am sure anybody within earshot has heard Larry be a loud and bellow it is want hounds do, I tell my son if you could smell willing women a mile a way you would bellow like a hound too, luckily the dog has discipline (then again he is neutered)

Tried one of those early on when she was young. Couldn't do it. Seemed like it was breaking her personality when I hit her with a jolt. Patience, perseverance and praise worked better. Of course treats were her payoff! And her belly shows she's loved.

He's really doing well for a young pup. 4 retrieves and 3/4 were perfect to heel and hand. [IMG]

    Not going to Sota.
Have not been without a Lab in the family for 45 years.
They were all good dogs but Roscoe was over the top exceptional.
Truly took alot of life out of me saying goodbye.
Don't want to do it again.
Was a blubbering/ lost soul for weeks.
    Heck, still am.
