I'm assuming this is the same buck. I have this buck on camera now for 3 seasons. I thought I would share his photos. First pictures came right after the 2010 season. He sure looked good in velvet 9 months later. He now has a split G2 on his left side and a kicker on his right side that he will break off during the season. His right G2 is hidden in the photo by his G3. 2011 out of velvet. I thought he didn't survive the 2011 season partially because of this photo. It almost looks like he was wounded in his mid section and is body is much smaller than his velvet photos. I didn't get any velvet pictures of him in 2012, so now I'm really assuming he is d-e-a-d. Until he showed up on camera Oct 18th. At first I didn't think it was him because he no longer had a split G2 but comparing the photos side by side makes me think it's the same buck. I'm assuming he is now at least 4.5 probably more like 5.5 yr old buck. I have never seen this buck on the hoof and I only get night time photos of him. The story of The Ghost. To Be Continued
Definitely looks like the same buck! I hope the story of the ghost ends with your hands around his antlers! Good luck!
He looks like a good one. He definitely looks to be around 5.5 or maybe 6.5. He has that block head look an his eyes look to be sunk in a little in that last picture.
Well, not going to get a shot at The Ghost this year. I shot the big 8 this weekend. I wanted to shoot the ghost but I told myself I wasn't going to pass this big 8. This guy had a huge body on him.
Hopefully he will make it another year and give you shot. Obviously you couldn't pass up on this guy. Congrats on your buck...very nice!
That's a awesome 8 pointer and I wouldn't have passed him either. Hopefully the Ghost will be there next season.....
Great 8, congrats! If you start getting daytime picture of the ghost I suppose I could drive down and buy a tag to help you out, just let me know!
I'd be willing to bet it's the same buck. Pretty sweet to see the progression from year to year! Congrats on the buck too... a trophy in his own right!
