They've been annoying since about '05 on hni. LOL But...maybe its just annoying because I never kill anything worth someone starting a teaser thread...
Teaser threads ACTUALLY started with just a picture of a dead buck. No story or hunters name. You then had to guess based on how the location looks, trail cam pics, ect. We have gotten away from the original concept.
I never saw that Caleb, I like it. The only problem I see with doing it that way now is so many trail cameras are used it might get easy to guess.
Yes but then it only lasts 3-4 pages and the hunter can jump in and tell his story. Much more efficient then these 10 page "who the hell is it, i only know because im cool enough to get a text" BS. LOL.
Thank you for bringing up that point Siman/OH! I got 2 BBD text today but do you see me making teaser threads? No. Let the person who shot the buck post it on this forum when he gets time.
There are a lot of people who like the teaser threads. I guess the second rule for a teaser thread is if you do not like them and go on and complain about them why even look?
Hey I will be fine yeah I'll get crap for it but whatever. I feel for Dawg though... Sent from my XT901
I dot mind the teaser threads and don't blame the originator either. Give them a hard time sure, but I learned a couple bad hits, don't even tell anyone until you are certain it's down. What's disheartening is the anticipation of a deer being down only leading to a sorry couldn't find him post 3 days later if updated at all. Not a knock on anyone, but with the instantaneous communications of today it's a given its going to happen. I think it's a jinx so I don't do it until I've laid eyes on the prize anymore.
It's not an idea guys...it's the way it USED to be. Then it turned into "I got a text". We need to get back to the old ways...
Look at Siman lamenting the lost good old days. (this strikes me as particularly funny since I'm pretty sure my first cellphone is older than him)
