The Farm by MidwestMachine Alright you all have waited long enough, I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! Photo bombed by a turkey Just a little guy crossing a diversion ditch Holy Crap! One, Two, Three, Four.... Wow... Well that makes sense Big ol Tom just out for a cruise Almost looks like a caribou doesnt he? Nice color on this yote Pose Must be something interesting to the left... You guys think he is 2 or 3? Look at my fuzzy antlers! This is a new buck, other side of the farm that no one really hunts. As of last camera pull I knew of 4 seperate bucks that had potiential for the hitlist, this guy makes number 5 (havent decided on the caribou yet) Some cool ducks! This guy looks like a 2.5 too, but he is number 6 on the "watch list" this bucks body looks old but just a 6? any guesses on age? Here is the smaller twin from a buck name sticks from last year. Havent thought of a name yet The background buck is new, and interesting. He is number 7 on the watchlist. I am thinking of calling him rollback. youll see why later Baby Twin didnt put on the width that I was hoping for, but i still think he will end up on the hitlist. Im still on the lookout for his big brother! Nice pose again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Farm by MidwestMachine Salt block action, there is also some mineral here his face tells me that he is old, not sure if that is true or not this is why i call him rollback This buck in the back ground is not baby twin, but not enough detail to tell if I have him already so unfortunately he isn't number 7 on the watch list... I am impressed with the wide tall frame this guy is putting on I am pretty sure this background buck is baby twin I cant tell if this is the 8 from before so I cant add him to the watchlist caribou migration If he finishes well he could be in the 130s i think Roll back and baby twin. almost 50 pics in a row of these two a good shot of roll backs width ... and return migration - this buck walks this approach almost every day. only crossing for hundreds of yards I dont like the new term "poser" but he is doing it well Lovin the camera Still lovin it Photobombed! I cant tell if it is a different buck or not. This puts the the watchlist count at a hard 6, soft 9 which is amazing. last year we had 2 3 + and 2 2+ at this time so we are moving in the right direction! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
From what i am seeing in your pics, Your Caribou buck looks like he my be a 4 + on his age. You have a great collection of bucks going on there! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Thanks holt! The only thing that makes me think he isn't mature is his other side looks like a text book 2 year old buck. But body size tells me he is 3 or more. Either way he is going to be a very special deer! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's very hard to tell age from the rack, also being summer and there necks are thin and short hair makes there body look smaller. The Caribou buck has a deep chest and a flat belly ( doesn't turn up at his rear legs). Also his front shoulders are almost as big as his rear legs, which make me think he is mature. I feel he is the oldest out of all the pics you posted. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Yeah he definitely is a mature buck! That is a rut pic, so his neck is all swelled up. It's hard for me to tell age after 4. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I liked the veins popping in his neck! But yes I have a hard time aging deer too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sure I have! Just didn't post a response... Haha. My number one target would be the caribou buck. So unique! I'm checking my cams this weekend so hopefully ill have some to share! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice looking bucks. I think that caribou buck definitely has some potential. He appears to be a 3 year old to me. His body isn't that big and he lacks the head size of a mature buck. I think next year you could have a very nice deer in the caribou buck.
Update on Sticks, he is the "bigger twin" from last year. Has the same notches in his left ear as sticks did last year with the same sticker just on the other side. I am confident he is the same buck. Last summer he would disappear for months so I'm hoping he sticks around this time! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got out this weekend to check plots, two weeks of growth on the fall plots. And the neighbors fence was down and his herd swung through one of our food plots Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
