Well as always I was pleased to again check out some of the new products from ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent. The Outdoor Lantern was more than a life saver this year while turkey hunting. We were hunting in an area that was just crazy with mosquitoes and our spray on repellent alone was not getting it done. So, we got into the hunting blind and I had already lit the Lantern. Using a butane cartridge it heats an insect repellent mat which releases the repellent into the air covering an area 15 feet by 15 feet. This mat is soaked in a synthetic copy of a substance found in chrysanthemums flowers, which is a natural mosquito repellent and protects against up to 98% of mosquitoes, black flies and no-see-ums. Each lantern comes with one butane cartridge which lasts up to 12 hours, 3 insect repellent mats and they last up to 4 hours each. Additional butane cartridges and pads are sold separately as well. The other nice feature besides repelling mosquitoes is the light. The 8 LED light is powered with 4 AA batteries and has a low and high setting. This was handy since we stayed in a tent and of course needed the light after sunset. ThermaCELL Appliance The ThermaCELL Appliance like the Outdoor Lantern has the same repellent qualities but does not have a built in light. It is a great item to take hunting with you for your blind or tree-stand and an optional holster belt can be purchased to carry it around your waist as well. It comes in four color options: olive, gray, woodland camo, Realtree APG camo. The olive and Realtree APG camo are available with a quiet on/off turn dial which is very quiet and makes next to no noise at all. All Purpose Swivel Light The clip on all-purpose swivel light clips conveniently attaches onto the appliance or use the simple adapter to clip onto caps or other items for convenient lighting for any task in dark areas. The 4 led lights emit a white or green light with just a change in the switch setting. Powered by two CR-2032 lithium batteries you are assured up to 30 hours of light. This light is great for all activities such as hunting, fishing, camping and backyard activities as well.
