    I wish IL would move up the opener like Wis an KY. I'd love to take a velvet buck in my home state. Stands are hung broadheads are about tuned in. Just counting the hours down to 10/1

    Heading down the the farm today for the first time in 2 months. Will check cams and get two last hangers in before opener this weekend. Also going to try and get a mock scrape set if I can find a good spot. It's supposed to rain there a couple days this week so I'm banking on that knocking down any scent.

    Fingers crossed things look good.

    Checked my cams. Found all does. Also I found another hunter hunting my friends property without permission. He had a stand and two cameras. I had my laptop with me so I checked his pics and wiped the ones of me off. Going to talk to my buddy and see how/if he wants to handle it. I'm not gunna make a big deal of it. I'll just hunter smarter and hopefully with less scent.
