Oh just curious are you guys using bait in front of your trail cams. I've gotten skunked again. Plenty of sign but still no picks.

Yea I've made some mineral sites and have used sweet feed for camera pics. But to be honest it doesn't do a whole lot besides get does. Never really had any mature bucks. I'm going to switch things up and find more natural sites to try and get them on camera

Between mineral, corn, and stump juice. I use it all. Some say that ain't right. But I tell them to take the hooks off there crank bait next time they go fishin and see how good they do.

I don't agree with hunting over a pile of bait, not exactly "fair chase". I just want to get some pictures of what's around.

I don't mind. I'm not dragging them to the bait and making them eat it. They have the choice. No diff than making trails for them to travel it's there choice. I've got corn fields and bean fields all around me so I see no difference in shooting a deer that's eating in a crop field than shooting a deer that's eating the same crop that's in a pile. And besides that I don't pile it up I scatter it. That way they have to mill around. And they don't eat as much that way. Can't have my deer getn fat now

There is no difference between a food plot or a bunch of corn tossed about. Just because you provide an attractant doesn't mean you'll see deer or that they'll make it easy for you. The same scent, sight and other issues are still present

If it is legal in your state then do what ever you have to to put food on your families table!! Some people don't have the ability to put in food plots so they bait!! Fine with me! Some people spend their days off hauling bait some spend them putting in kill plots! Do whatever you have to as long as you enjoy it and are within your states regulations! I have done both and both have been successful at different times! Good luck to everyone on our team!

Ah man come on. Lol. We got to be original at least. Anyone can just use someone else's name.

Went out yesterday checking on my spots and think I am going to have a good solid season. Lots of deer in the area.

Oh yea. Find deer has not been the problem. It's going to be letting the average buck walk to take the bigger ones that show up on camera
