Checked my trail camera that I have at my house. I avg 200 pics a day. Today's pull.. 38 pics... I was expecting way more. Anyone else get the same results? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I average about 150-200 pics / week here in Indiana. My last pull had 70 for the week. We've got acorns dropping already for some reason. I'm not sure if they are ripe, but I imagine the deer still get after them. I've noticed in previous years when the acorns are falling, they don't care about my trophy rock. It's also been pretty dry here. I don't know about the rain fall where you're at, but I think here they've gone to cooler wetter places besides my camera. I also noticed some shedding their summer coat, seems awfully early.
I've noticed a few shedding too. No acorns dropping yet. If I don't check my camera all week I'll have about 1200 -1400 pictures. 100 or so will be foxes or raccoons. But the rest will be deer. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
in a two week period at my mineral site I can easily get 3000-4000 pics at 1 pic every 2 min. If I only got 200 pics in an entire season I would be finding new ground.
that right there is my favorite non-team post in over a month. I almost spit a mouthful of nacho chips on the screen. Well done, sir!
I had 4 pic on my 1 camera and 2 of pics were me and my boy heading back from cking another camera. Lots of does on the other camera and two bucks , nothing big thou
Wow. I put out a trail camera for 2 weeks with a mineral lick. Got like 20 pics (5 bucks) and I was happy. Lol Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I think it is mostly because these deer are woods deer and they lack the minerals they need. once velvet sheds it almost immediately dries up.
I have the same problem and we dont have many non windy days in ND. I have a 4 year old moultrie 990 that has sat on a corner post that looks over a corner of our field that has average about 2,000-4,000 pics up until snow fall. I cant even try to guess the amount of pics that camera has taken in its lifetime, enough that when it dies i might just have to put it on the wall next the the shoulder mounts.
The day of the eclipse I got less then 40 pics on my trail camera. Today... back to normal 278 Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
