It doesn't need to be posted again. Fitz might get mad when I say I want to shoot one of them.

Seriously, who took over PT's user name? I am in total disbelief at this point.

And Fitz, any way you can put all those horse beaters in camo? If so, you might want to check with Tony on what pattern will be acceptable first.

You are the one that used the term legislate. You will not find that word in any of my posts. I have always used the thought process of education. I do see where you may have taken the statement differently. My point was that I was ready to discuss that topic without ad hominem attacks on the opposing view.

I didn't act as if I knew, I said I think it will happen and clarified it was an opinion.... but what the hey ignoring that makes for better arguments.

We are discussing regulating family sizes in the US to save world overpopulation, when Americas population is a drop of water in the ocean compared to both India and China where the real problem is occurring. My whole point is whatever we do HERE is futile. So chastising some family in Arkansas for having a busload of kids who are home schooled and paid for in the world overpopulation or misuse of resources scheme of thing is a bit petty.

We are discussing finite resources and food wars of the future, to prevent such catastrophes from happening, you would have to address where the problem is actually at (not America). It'd be equivalent to the NBA restructuring contracts for the NFL athletes being overpaid. Won't change anything.

Is it weird that the first thing I thought when I saw all those kids is how much tax money they get back because of them?

No you jabbed at others, that opens the floodgates of jabbability. Yes, I made that word up and you are free to use it anytime. PT, you know I like and respect you and that is why I was so shocked to see you puff up and become so defensive and even condescending in what was otherwise a civil discussion. You were the first to insinuate that your view was gospel and openly criticized anyone that thought differently. You even went so far as to suggest that they were asinine to have such thoughts or opinions. We dont know that overpopulation will happen anymore than we know that the earth will be obliterated by fire and life started over by divine intervention. But, we certainly know either are possible, or that we are respectfully allowed to voice our opinions on said topics. And, we should be allowed to do so without being made to feel that we are stupid for doing so. So, I am very comfortable with you being surprised with me. Maybe a surprise is what you needed.

I really didnt get that out of the thread at all. In fact, other countries were mentioned and I thought the term "Global" overpopulation was used or insinuated. But, you seem to have read something differently into it.

By the way, all anyone shared here was an opinion or their thoughts, just curious why that made you crack up so much. It seemed like you were taking a shot at some folks here for discussing their side of the topic.

That is just it Fletch. And that is the way I see this forum. Just a place to talk around the WATER COOLER. It's not the gospel. It is just people sharing their thoughts on things. And can we all admit it is okay to disagree about things?

Personally I find threads boring that are no-brainers and everyone posts that they simply agree.

Tony puts allot of emotion Into his post's. I see nothing wrong with that at all. He's not calling anyone names really, just making strong opinionated statements. It's hard typing and showing your emotions. Would be much easier In person. I bet he wouldn't be catching the slack either then.
